Suggestions for those called as Single Adult Reps
- There's no official handbook describing the responsibilities of the reps.
- Reach out so singles feel like you care, even if there's no initial response.
- Check to see if there are home/visiting teachers.
- A single person may not have anyone.
- Pray. Be led by the Spirit, and watch the Lord work.
- Find out from the Lord why you've been called to your particular calling.
- Do a Needs Assessment (verbal or written) of those in your stewardship.
- Get a current single adult list from the ward/stake clerk. Meet with the bishop on specific needs.
- Ward Reps are crucial. They need to make 1:1 contact. They need to attend the SA activities.
- Watch for those sitting alone, and sit with them.
- Help a single parent with children at church.
- Start small.
- Take FHE on the road. (Hold it at different SA homes.)
- Friendship and fellowship all.
- Many Single Adults aren't being reached and fall through the cracks.
