A BYU adult religion class entitled “Gospel Perspectives on LDS Single Parent Issues” will be offered on Tuesday nights from 7:00 - 8:45 P.M. beginning September 9, 2008 and going through December 9, 2008. This is NOT a parenting class, although that is a small part of what will be covered. The class covers a wide range of topics of interest to single parents and single adults, including maintaining faith and hope, dating and courtship issues, healing through Christ, finances, fitting in your ward family, overcoming loneliness, parenting, helping children deal with death or divorce, and preparing to blend families. 

Registration is $17.50 for the entire course, and students can join the class at any time. Register online at http://ce.byu.edu/ed/ (click on “Adult Religion Classes”) or register at the door. Reading packets are $5.00. The class will be taught by Sister Cheryl Merrell. Single parents and single adults of any age may attend this class. The class will be held at 1674 North 200 West in Orem, Utah in the chapel of the Orem Northridge Stake Center.
