Quote of the Month:
“Perhaps the greatest charity comes when we are kind to each other, when we don’t judge or categorize someone else, when we simply give each other the benefit of the doubt or remain quiet. Charity is accepting someone’s differences, weaknesses, and shortcomings; having patience with someone who has let us down; or resisting the impulse to offended when someone doesn’t handle something the way we might have hoped. Charity is refusing to take advantage of another’s weakness and being willing to forgive someone who has hurt us. Charity is expecting the best of each other.”
–Elder Marvin J. Ashton (1915-1994)

The Wasatch Fault & Emergency Prep:
"The 240-mile long Wasatch Fault has the dubious distinction of being one of the longest and most active 'normal' faults in the world."

" . . . if ye are prepared ye shall not fear." (D&C 38:30)
We live in earthquake country and it is always a good idea to be prepared. Single adults face some unique situations and challenges with emergency preparedness, so we've decided to offer a monthly Emergency Preparedness Tip for Singles here on our website (look under the Resources tab at the top of the page ). Hopefully this can be a resource for you as you personally prepare for possible future earthquake risks and other potential natural disasters.
